I love shopping. I love clothes. Clothes and shopping? What
a beautiful union.
I love shoes. I love tops. I love t-shirts. I love skirts. I
love dresses. I love pants. I love jeans. I have 34 pairs of jeans (a pair
representing every color in the rainbow, plus different textures, seasonal
tones, patterns, a variety of styles – skinny, jegging, boot cut, ankle, flare,
boyfriend, etc.) are you getting the idea?
While I don’t consider myself very “high fashion” or even
remotely style savvy, I do know that I can spend a pretty penny (or several) on
clothes.
With the changing of seasons comes the changing of clothing
racks at my favorite stores. As much as I love Summer, there’s no denying that
Fall fashions are the best. The mannequins are slowly but surely being stripped
of their tank tops, flip flops and daisy duke shorts (although short shorts are
out while high waisted longer shorts are in) and are instead fully clad in boots
with jeans and long sleeved shirts with paisley printed scarves.
Some Fall Must Haves for 2013:
Camo/Military Inspired Print is everywhere! Not just the camo print itself, but olive green tones, a variation of brown shades and even khaki.
Transform your summer dresses to fall attire by adding tights and a sweater/cardigan (I've even seen a LBD with a flannel and tights) all very cute!
Speaking of Flannels, this cozy material is always in style. I have several of my dad's flannels and steal my boyfriend's from time to time! Perfect for layering or on its own.
Not going to lie - just got my first jean jacket this year (well not the very first, but the first to fit my tiny arms!) I got it from Old Navy and it is so cute! Cannot wait to layer up with this.
A fun little diagram showing layered outfits from the always adorable boutique, Francesca's.
I am a HUGE fan of flats, they are my go to shoes year round (I like to be comfortable as often as possible). Usually flats are rounded at the toe, like ballet slippers, but I'm digging the unique twist of having a pointed toe. I've seen the pointed flats pretty much everywhere.
Riding boots are a fall necessity because they are cute (duh!) and cover up your feet entirely to shelter from the cold and protect you from the elements. Brown, black or burgundy, riding boots are shoes to "fall" for.
Scarves! I'll be honest when I say I'm not a huge fan of scarves, (they kind of make me shorter than I already am) but they are so cute. Maybe I'll try to work them into my Fall Fashion rotation?
Sweater leggings (or just leggings in general) - a step above tights and a step down from jeans/pants. Great for wearing under dresses or skirts and oversized sweaters.
Last but certainly not least, sweaters! The only time of year to look put together, but feel like you stayed in your PJs, sweaters keep you warm and comfortable.

It's still full blown Summer here in sunny Georgia, but cooler weather is right around the corner!
